Features of choosing an office sofa
Upholstered furniture is important not only for an apartment or a private house. A small corner for relaxing and waiting for visitors is also necessary for office space. Well-chosen office sofas significantly improve the working atmosphere. Conversely, the lack of a well-equipped place to relax can demotivate employees and negatively affect the quality of daily work.
What sofa designs exist
Modern office furniture manufacturers use a wide variety of materials for the frame, filler and upholstery. A competent combination gives not only convenience, but also a long service life. Among all the variety, only a few basic designs are distinguished:
1. The monolithic structure is highly resistant to static and dynamic loads.
2. The modular analog is much easier to transfer and transform as needed.
3. Sofas with the function of transformation in the office environment are used extremely rarely.
If the office space has limited space, you should choose a monolithic structure. For an office of considerable size, a modular analogue will allow you to change the position of individual blocks, thereby visually changing the layout of the recreation area. This may be necessary for a small holiday, corporate party.
Optimal upholstery for an office sofa
Furniture in an office space, as a rule, comes into contact only with clean clothes of employees. But, maintaining cleanliness is an important condition for the entire office space. No one forbids installing a sofa with any kind of upholstery in the office. But, it will be most practical to use the following types of materials:
- genuine leather, looks expensive, requires special care;
- artificial leather perfectly resists wear and tear, easy to clean;
- artificial textiles, the easiest way to match the office interior;
- natural materials are difficult to clean and easily damaged.
The second and third options in office furniture are the most common. Even if an unpleasant spot appears on the surface of the upholstery during everyday use, it will be relatively easy to remove it. Natural fabric tends to accumulate dirt and eventually emit an unpleasant odor. For an office space with a lot of people contact, this is unacceptable.
