As a rule, the packaging of a product at enterprises is inextricably linked with weighing and obtaining accurate figures - sometimes accuracy up to tenths or even hundredths of a gram is necessary. But not in all cases: there are a number of products that can be dispensed without weighing.
Most often, these products are in the form of a powder or small granules, and volume type dispenser. This dispenser is an excellent solution for production automation. Manual packaging of bulk products is difficult, and in the case of working with dusty products, it is also harmful to the health of operators. The equipment not only solves the problem, but also reduces the level of dust in the air, which has a beneficial effect on the air quality in the workshops.
How it works
The method of operation of the volumetric dispenser is quite simple. The product is loaded into a cone-shaped steel hopper - most often a lifting conveyor is responsible for the supply. If necessary, the product in the hopper is mixed - this helps to keep it crumbly, to avoid sticking and inaccurate weighing.
Through the lower, narrow part of the hopper, the product enters the measuring cups of the dispenser. A special knot levels the product, removing excess - that part of the product that did not fit in the measuring cup. After that, the finished portion is dropped into a bag or box. This is the next step in the technological process - packaging.
One carousel can hold up to 8 glasses, and its rotation speed is 22 revolutions per minute. Therefore, in the specified period of time, the machine can prepare more than 150 portions of the product for packaging.
Where it is used
Volume dispensers are used for portioning and packaging bulk products. Equipment of this type can be found in production:
groats;
salt and sugar;
flour;
cereal or granulated coffee, tea;
household chemicals in the form of powder or granules.
The specificity of these products is that they fill the entire area of the container and do not leave voids. Thanks to this, when working with them, you can not weigh each time - it is enough to know how much product is placed in one measuring cup and what its weight corresponds to.
When working with these products, dosing by volume shows high efficiency. The error does not exceed 3%.
The design of such a dispenser is simple compared to an analog that conducts accurate weighing. Thanks to this, volumetric dispensers break less often, they are easy to maintain and repair.
