Scope of application of helical gearboxes

Universal mechanisms for simultaneously reducing shaft speed and increasing torque are steadily popular in the industrial sector. The classic cylindrical gearbox is strong and reliable enough to resist all negative operating factors. Provided that it was initially correctly selected in all technical parameters for existing or developed equipment.

 Use of gearboxes in practice

Industry produces a fairly wide variety of universal mechanisms that can be used in industry. The main selection factor is the gear ratio and the strength of the calculated torque. Thanks to them, in combination with an electric motor, the gearbox turns into a powerful tool:

  1. An important mechanism in lifting equipment, including elevators.
  2. Without a gearbox it is almost impossible to imagine the operation of a press
  3. As an intermediate mechanism for the transmission of certain machines.
  4. For driving industrial conveyor lines and conveyor belts.
  5. Escalators are driven by suitable gearboxes.

The scope of application of mechanisms is much wider than one might imagine. Almost every year there is a new industry in which the use of spur gear reducers brings the necessary positive results. The main thing is to initially correctly select a gearbox that will suit the task in all respects.

 Features of operating a cylindrical gearbox

The service life of the mechanism depends on its proper operation in industrial conditions. The company manufactures equipment in a sealed housing to prevent dust and moisture from getting inside. In this way, it was possible to significantly increase the normal service life, without the need for frequent maintenance:

  1. timely replacement of lubricant with a similar viscosity;
  2. checking the level of transmission lubrication in the gearbox housing;
  3. periodic cleaning of the housing from natural contaminants;
  4. avoid prolonged operation with increased load;
  5. in the cold season, use a less viscous lubricant.

The cylindrical gearbox is both a relatively simple and reliable mechanism that does not require frequent maintenance and repair. Able to work for a long time with variable loads. During natural wear and tear, it can be repaired by replacing gears and bearings.
