Typical grain cleaning and drying complexes ZAV
After harvesting, the grain storage technology provides for cleaning and drying operations. Ears of grain, legumes, cereals and oilseeds are processed. For these purposes, special storage facilities are used, which include drying grain cleaning complexes, which are a set of equipment and machines assembled into a single stationary structure.
Device Features
ZAV complexes are installed permanently in a place convenient for receiving grain for processing. They are classified according to productivity (from 20 to 100 tons of grain per hour). The main structural elements included in the standard design:
- Modular bunkers made of metal are mounted on special support columns above the ground. They are used for receiving and accumulating grain processed on cleaning machines and various fractions of grain waste.
- An auto–receiving facility or a blockage pit for unloading grain from vehicles is designed taking into account the presence of groundwater.
- Special machines for cleaning grain – air-grid tables for removing weeds, straw, soil, stones, aspiration systems for cleaning with partial drying directly by the flow of supplied air.
- · Transportation equipment — norias for lifting grain from a blockage pit up to cleaning machines, gravity pumps for moving grain mass.
The grain is shipped from the vehicles to the blockage pits and fed to the cleaning machines. Cleaning takes place in stages – first, the large blockage present in the total mass on the conveyor is separated, then light impurities are removed using a wind-air installation. The bulk of the grain is shipped to the storage facilities, the intermediate fractions and waste are delivered to separate bunkers.
