Steel rebar prices in Poland rose in the week to Friday, September 26, with factories still pushing for higher prices despite weak demand, industry sources told Fastmarkets.
According to the manufacturer's source, current prices are "unstable" and should start to decline. growth, claiming that prices have "bottomed out".
"Demand is still average," said a source at the distribution company, adding that the market is "waiting to see" whether mills woold will lower prices in October.
During the week, domestic rebar offers were expected to reach 2440-2450 zlotys ($669-671) per ton without VAT, compared with 2400-2450 zlotys per ton without VAT in the previous week.
But other market sources estimate reasonable prices this week in the range of 2420-2430 zlotys per ton, excluding VAT.
