The Australian company Bisalloy Steels has signed a strategic partnership with MIRAS Steel Trade aimed at strengthening its presence in Central and Eastern Europe.

The agreement provides for cooperation between the two companies in the supply, processing and distribution of high-strength armor and structural steel for defense, naval and heavy machinery, Kallanish notes. The partnership will cover Romania, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Bulgaria and the Republic of Moldova, expanding Bisalloy's European reach.

Bisalloy says this collaboration will allow it to reduce lead times, expand local processing capabilities, and expand technical support for European customers, while accelerating the expansion of its end-user base in the region.

MIRAS, meanwhile, has launched a specialized platform called "SteelDefence", which provides European customers with comprehensive services ranging from storage and cutting in a warehouse to CNC machining and the supply of finished components.

The European expansion began after Bisalloy received CE marking approval in December 2025 in accordance with the Construction Products Regulation, which allowed its structural steel grades to be sold throughout the EU and the UK. The certification confirms compliance with European performance, quality, and traceability requirements, opening the door to construction and infrastructure projects outside the company's traditional defense markets.

Bisalloy notes that it is already cooperating with a large customer on a long-term project, which indicates the beginning of commercial activity.

Bisalloy continues to expand its presence in the global market outside of Europe. In Indonesia, their joint venture partner, PT Bima, launched PT Bima precision machining last year, increasing local production capacity and enabling customers to produce bisphenol A sheet alloy with comprehensive processing services. The company has also expanded its agency network by opening new representative offices in South Korea and Romania.
