Buyers of hot-rolled coils from Europe are gradually agreeing to price increases from local suppliers, but the growth rate is moderate because the inventory of customers and port warehouses is sufficient, Fastmarkets reported on Friday, January 30.
Offers from integrated plants in Northern Europe for delivery in April amount to 670-685 euros (801-819 US dollars) per ton from the plant, while individual orders are accepted at 650 euros per ton from the plant.
March - HRCs are rumored to be mostly sold out, with some suppliers having only a limited number left. There were offers at a price of 650 euros per ton from the factory.
Fastmarkets' daily hot-rolled steel roll price index for domestic consumption in Northern Europe was 6500.00 euros (777.60 US dollars) per ton on Friday, down 5.83 euros per ton from 655.83 euros per ton on January 29.
The decrease in valuation indicates that buyers are at a crossroads, and current stocks and port stocks are considered sufficient, rather than indicating a trend reversal.
The indicator increased by 7.5 euros per ton week-on-week and by 22.5 euros per ton month-on-month.
On Friday, it was reported that in Italy, prices for HRC in the domestic market ranged from 630-650 euros per ton from the factory, and recent orders were reportedly placed in the range of 630-635 euros per ton from the factory.
There were no reports of major bookings during the day.
Fastmarkets' daily domestic hot rolled steel price index, exw in Italy, was 638.00 euros per tonne on Friday, January 30, down from 643.33 euros per tonne on Thursday, down 5.33 euros day by day.
The indicator increased by 3.00 euros per ton week-on-week and by 14.88 euros per ton on a monthly basis.
