European aircraft manufacturer Airbus SE (Airbus) said on Tuesday, agreeing to negotiate with the authorities of France, great Britain and the United States regarding the investigation of accusations of bribery and corruption.
"Airbus confirms that it is in principle reached an agreement with French Parquet National financier, the Department for combating serious fraud in the UK and US authorities," - said in a statement. "These agreements signed in the context of investigations into accusations of bribery and corruption, and in accordance with the U.S. Regulation of the international arms trade. They are still subject to approval by the French and British courts, and also court and controller of the United States".
Airbus said he could not comment on the exact details of their negotiations with the investigating authorities.
Financial Times Earlier reported that Airbus could pay huge sums to settle the claim. Airbus came under investigation by French and British authorities on suspicion of corruption more than a decade ago. The aircraft manufacturer is also faced investigation in the United States on suspicion of violations of export controls.
