“In response to changing market conditions and our In an effort to reduce our carbon footprint, we have made the strategic decision to cease production of pipes at our plant in Krakow. Krakow supplied products to the construction, water and construction industries forests.
The company said it is working to minimize any supply disruptions and will source from its other manufacturing units. AMTP produces straight-seam pipes for industrial applications at its plant in Iasi, Romania. The company also has operations in the Czech Republic and France.
ArcelorMittal recently said it would suspend coke oven operations at its Krakow plant due to low demand and the low price differential between coking coal and coke.
