The winners of the 10th Steelie Awards were announced at the World Steel Association (worldsteel) annual dinner on October 14th. The Steelie Award is awarded to member companies or individuals for their contributions to the steel industry over a period of one year. Steelies are awarded in seven categories.

- Innovation of the Year - POSCO, Development of Inkjet Steel (PosART *) and Production Technology
- Sustainability Excellence - ArcelorMittal
- Excellence in Life Cycle Assessment - Tata Steel Europe, developing the LCA tool for assessing the sustainability of new product development
- Excellence in Education and Training - Ternium, Roberto Rocca Technical School in Pescheria (Nuevo Leon, Mexico)
- Journalist of the Year - Paul Lim, Fastmarkets
- Excellence in Communication Programs - Tata Steel Limited
