Kazakhstan extends anti-dumping measures for rental from Ukraine

The Government of Kazakhstan has extended anti-dumping measures for galvanized rolled products from Ukraine and China, as well as for hot-formed seamless pipes from China, for six months.

This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the country following a meeting of the interdepartmental commission on foreign trade policy and participation in international economic organizations, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

In addition, the ban on the export of steel billets and semi-finished products has been extended for six months. It is noted that the positive result of the earlier ban was the reorientation of existing capacities for the production of semi-finished products in the form of steel billets to deeper processing in the metallurgical industry and an increase in exports of rebar by almost 30 thousand tons.

It is also reported that a proposal was supported to impose a three-month ban on the import of drywall and stone products from countries outside the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

At the same time, automatic licensing of plywood exports from Kazakhstan has been approved, which will allow an analysis of plywood export flows from the country.
