In 2024, there were 50 manufacturing companies in the Ukrainian metal structures market, which is 9.1% less than in 2023. This was stated by Anna Gontarenko, Acting Executive Director of the Ukrainian Steel Construction Center (UCCC) during the Metal Expert conference "Ferrous Metallurgy of Ukraine 2025".
At the same time, more than 70% or 36 manufacturing companies have production capacities of less than 2 thousand tons per year. Compared to 2023, the number of such enterprises fell by 18.2%. 9 companies had production capacities with a level of 2-5 thousand tons per year (+28.6% YoY), and 5 companies had more than 5 thousand tons per year (+25% YoY).
In total, in 2024, Ukrainian enterprises produced 91 thousand tons of metal structures, which is 15.2% more than in rubles. In 2025, it is planned to produce 102 thousand corresponding products. Although these volumes are significantly higher compared to 2022, they are still significantly lower than pre-war figures. In particular, in 2019-2021, the indicator was at the level of 135-154 thousand tons.
The distribution of production volumes of metal structures in 2024 by enterprise capacity is as follows: 28 thousand tons – more than 5 thousand tons/year, 27 thousand tons – 2-5 thousand tons/year, 25 thousand tons – less than 2 thousand tons/year.
