Ukraine and Georgia launch new logistics axis across the Black Sea

Belgorod-Dniester Seaport has signed a memorandum with APM Terminals Poti (a division of Maersk).

"This is the first memorandum of the Belgorod–Dniester Port on cooperation within the framework of the development of the international transport corridor – TMTM or the Middle Corridor," said Oksana Kiktenko, Head of the Belgorod-Dniester Commercial Sea Port.

"APM Terminals Poti is the owner of Georgia's largest port, the Poti Seaport," Kiktenko writes. - Two private seaports will be connected by a new ferry route and an automobile and railway ferry complex, which is being designed by the new owner of the Ukrainian port, taking into account the requirements for cargo handling of the "middle corridor". The purpose of the memorandum is to attract cargo traffic through the "Middle Corridor", which will pass through the territory of Ukraine by a new railway route – Bessarabia Route (Ukraine-Moldova-Romania). This will contribute to the formation and development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two ports."
