Ukrzaliznytsya JSC successfully held 7 auctions for the sale of ferrous scrap on the Prozorro site on June 5, 2025.

The total volume of raw materials sold is 1.66 thousand tons, and the value of transactions is UAH 12.96 million. at the same time, the initial cost of these lots was UAH 11.85 million, increasing by UAH 1.1 million during the auction. the average cost of a ton of raw materials according to the auction results is estimated at UAH 7.79 thousand, depending on the lot price they range from 6 thousand UAH/ton to 9 thousand UAH/ton.
Among the winners are Zahidtechnomedstroy (3 lots with a total value of 5.65 million UAH), Lion Agro (2 lots – 4.15 million UAH), NDMZ (1 lot – 1.24 million UAH), ukrpobutbrucht (1 lot – 1.92 million UAH). The most expensive type of scrap was the axles of railway wheel sets (Type 3) – offers per ton of raw materials reached 8.95-9 thousand UAH.
In general, the auction series, scheduled for June 5, 2025, provided for the sale of 33 lots with scrap. However, most auctions could not be held due to insufficient number of participants. UZ has been trying to hold these auctions for the second time, but participants are not encouraged to participate, probably because of the inflated price. In particular, the last auctions in 2023, after which there was a long break in trade on the part of UZ, took place at a price of 5.1-6.5 thousand UAH/ton (6.35 thousand UAH/ton on average from 53 lots). Thus, the most valuable type of scrap (Type 3) has risen in price by more than 2 thousand UAH/ton.
