Austrian steel manufacturer voestalpine has received an order for high–rise storage systems for a logistics center in Istanbul, which is currently the largest in the company's history. This is reported in a statement by voestalpine.
The total value of the contract is €41 million. Voestalpine will supply modern high-storage systems to a leading Turkish logistics service provider in Istanbul for the construction of a modern logistics center for sports equipment. The project is scheduled to be completed in April 2027.
The order includes the construction of a high-rise warehouse and an automated small parts warehouse (miniload).
Voestalpine has been one of the leading suppliers of high-capacity storage systems, as well as manual and automated storage systems for many years. According to the company, the large order in Turkey is only one of voestalpine's flagship projects in this field. The construction of two 45-meter high warehouses for the furniture retailer JYSK distribution center has recently been completed in the Netherlands. Another prestigious project is currently being implemented for a retail company in the UK.
The successful implementation of these international projects is accompanied by the purposeful further development of voestalpine's global activities in the field of storage systems. In fiscal year 2024/2025, a specially designed production site was built in Kentucky (USA) to meet the growing demand in the country.
