Domestic CRC and HDG prices in Europe continued their upward trend during the week up to Wednesday, August 5, with stable demand and a large number of production orders, which continued to support higher prices, even though the summer holidays reduced overall market activity. The trend was particularly noticeable in the CRC segment, where sources reported that materials shipped in September were mostly sold out, limiting local availability and supporting higher prices.

The Market also stated that stricter CRC protection quotas, anti-dumping investigations against several countries of origin, and risks associated with the carbon boundary regulation mechanism are putting pressure on import activity, leading to increased demand for domestic materials.
In Northern Europe, CRC offers were in the range of 830-850 euros (956-979 USD) per ton from the factory, with selling prices in the wide range of 800-850 euros per ton from the factory. Fastmarkets prices for cold-rolled steel for domestic consumption in Northern Europe on Wednesday were 825-840 euros per ton, compared with 800-830 euros per ton on July 29.
In Southern Europe, CRC's offers were valued at 860 euros per tonne delivered, which adds up to about 845 euros per tonne from the factory.
However, market prices were 820 euros per ton from the factory, which was reflected in the corresponding Fastmarkets estimate.

,HDGS also grew in Europe, but they lagged slightly behind CRC, while the situation is usually the opposite. However, this was dictated by the reduction in CRC availability mentioned above.
In Northern Europe, CRC offers ranged from 830-850 euros per ton from the factory, with market prices ranging from 800-840 euros per ton from the factory. Most of the indicators, however, were in the range of 820-830 euros per ton from the factory.
Thus, Fastmarkets' weekly estimate of prices for hot-dip galvanized steel coils for domestic consumption in Northern Europe was 820-830 euros per ton on August 5, compared with 800-830 euros per ton on July 29.
In Southern Europe, the market for liquefied petroleum gas was comparatively weaker, with offers coming in at 830-835 euros per tonne from the plant, while market prices continued to reach 800 euros per tonne from the plant. Weekly
