American steel manufacturer Nucor plans to expand its steel grating manufacturing capabilities at its Vulcraft plant in St. Joe, Indiana, by expanding its product range. The $59 million project was Nucor's fourth major investment in Indiana in recent years.
Vulcraft manufactures steel beams with an open web, rafter girders and steel decking, which are used mainly in non-residential construction.
The plant's capacity is about 1.2 million tons of floors and decking per year.
