The Government of the Russian Federation has approved the rules of state support for manufacturers of specialized machinery and equipment. In comparison with a similar program in 2018, the circle of recipients of subsidies has been significantly expanded.
Manufacturers of agricultural, road-building machinery and equipment for the food and processing industries can apply for help. The maximum subsidy amount will be five million rubles. Manufacturers will be able to sell their products to dealers at a 15 percent discount, and the government will reimburse the difference between the market and preferential prices of machinery and equipment.
The government has set only one condition. The dealer assumes the obligation to repurchase the products from the end customer if his equipment for some reason does not suit him.
The federal budget provides 300 million rubles for the new program in 2021, 500 million in 2022 and another 700 million in 2023.
A similar support mechanism that operated in 2018 was applied only to manufacturers of agricultural machinery, and the maximum subsidy amount was three million rubles.
