Dnipro Steel Works at the end of 2021 increased the production of rolled metal and coke
Dnieper Metallurgical Plant (DMZ, Dnipro), a member of DCH Steel of the DCH group of Alexander Yaroslavsky, in December 2021 reduced the production of pig iron in comparison with the same period last year by 9.1%, to 24.2 thousand tons, steel - by 7.5%, to 27.8 thousand tons, but increased the production of rolled products by 0.9%, to 23.4 thousand tons, coke - by 6.3%, to 43.6 thousand tons.
At the end of 2021, DMZ produced 274.8 thousand tons of pig iron, 272.9 thousand tons of steel, 221.2 thousand tons of rolled metal, 483.1 thousand tons of coke.
As previously reported, in May-June 2020, the metallurgical workshops of the Dnieper Metallurgical Plant resumed work after downtime. Prior to that, for seven months, the plant produced only by-product coke-chemical processing. In 2020, DMZ produced 162.6 thousand tons of pig iron, 176.4 thousand tons of steel, 141 thousand tons of rolled products and 434.4 thousand tons of coke.
January 1, 2022 DMZ again stopped production steel and cast iron for an indefinite period, while the plant reported that the enterprise will resume its work immediately after a series of current repairs in the main shops.
