Gas prices in the EU increased by 15-30% due to the reduction of supply

Prices Day Ahead gas at the main European hubs in the past two days have increased by 15-30%. According to the calculations ExPro, in particular on the Dutch TTF exchange price increased by 32% (to 13.98 euros / MWh by the end of Tuesday), German NCG - 28% (up to 14.2 euros / MWh), on the Austrian CEGH - 24 % (to 14.17 euros / MW).

As reported by the European media, the jump in prices is due to a temporary reduction of gas supplies from Norway. According to Gassco, the Norwegian operator of the GTS, 4-6 November in the system were regularly observed negative balance.

Dynamics of quotations of futures contracts over the two days is low (1-2%), the TTF December futures rose to 17.3 € / MWh by the end of Tuesday, in NCG - to 17.1 € / MWh, for CEGH to 17.3 Euro / MW.
