Interpipe company has announced a sharp increase in electricity prices due to the lack of competition

"the New electricity market worked like a real market a couple of months. Artificial restriction of competition has provided an opportunity for producers to abuse market power. We do not import electricity, we buy it in Ukraine, but we believe it's important to have competition in the market, including thanks and imports," - said the Director for economy and Finance of "Interpipe" Denis Morozov.

the company noted that earlier at the expense of imports (although its volume does not exceed a few percent) on the new electricity market there was a competition among the suppliers. After rapid growth in the July-August, the price of RDN decreased to a fair level. In addition, the Ukrainian suppliers were deprived of the ability unreasonably to raise prices, because customers had the opportunity to select the provider.

"We welcome the presence of competition in the electricity market, it allows you not only to stop the growth of costs, but also to bring a running six months ago, the system of electricity supply to the real competitive energy market," said frost.
