Airbus suspends production in France and Spain

Airbus ceases production and Assembly at its plants in France and Spain for the next four days after EU governments implement new responses to limit movements and the outbreak of coronavirus, said Tuesday the aircraft Builder.

This step, apparently, will mark the most severe General disturbance of the production of Airbus since the attack on the then British partner BAE Systems in 1989, with the exception of problems with individual programs, such as military aircraft, the Airbus A380 or A400M.

"This will allow sufficient time to implement the strict conditions of labor protection and safety from the point of view of hygiene, cleaning and self-defence, and improve the efficiency of operations in the new conditions of work", - said in a statement Airbus.

These measures will be implemented at the local level in coordination with social services. Airbus also works together with its customers and suppliers to minimize the impact of the anti-virus on their activities.
