ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih reduced quarterly production of rolled metal by 2.9%

Kryvyi Rih Mining and Metallurgical Plant of PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih (AMKR, Dnepropetrovsk region) in January-March 2021 reduced the production of general rolled products, according to operational data, by 2.9% compared to the same period last year - to 1.15 million tons.

As the representative of the enterprise told the agency "Interfax-Ukraine", steel production during this period decreased by 4.8% - to 1.2 million tons, but pig iron increased - by 5.2%, to 1.37 thousand tons ... At the same time, sinter production increased by 2.2% to 2.4 million tons. In March, 410 thousand tons of rolled products, 430 thousand tons of steel, 480 thousand tons of pig iron, 860 thousand tons of sinter were produced.

As reported, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih at the end of 2020 reduced the production of general rolled products by 3.8% compared to the previous year - to 4.49 million tons, steel by 12.1% - to 4.68 million tons, pig iron - by 6.9%, to 4.95 million tons. At the same time, sinter production decreased by 7.9% to 9 million tons.

Recall that yesterday the main owner of ArcelorMittal Lakshmi Mittal agreed with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on the environmental modernization of the enterprise with an investment of $ 1 billion.
