Ukrzaliznytsia changes the logistics of transporting diesel fuel after stopping supplies from Russia and Belarus
Ukrzaliznytsia has prepared for the upcoming changes in the logistics of diesel fuel transportation in Ukraine after stopping supplies of these products from Russian factories and temporary closure of the Mozyr oil refinery in Belarus for repairs.
At a meeting in the Ministry of Economy, it was agreed that since May, the main directions of the supply of oil products will be redistributed and to a greater extent they will be transported through the seaports of Ukraine. Now Ukrzaliznytsia is ready to provide up to 200 thousand tons of oil products per month through seaports. This was announced by the acting. Ivan Yurik, Chairman of the Board of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia".
“Ukrzaliznytsia quickly responds to changes in the logistics of supplying oil products to the country and has already prepared for their transportation through the ports. Today railway workers have all the necessary resources to ensure the rhythmic export of up to 200 thousand tons of oil products from ports per month. And these capacities of the railway will only grow in the future, ”said Ivan Yurik.
He also said that now there are 1300 tanks in the working park of Ukrzaliznytsia, including 952 for the transportation of light oil products. “To increase the volume of traffic, we plan to repair and put into operation up to 300 tanks every month in the near future, in May-June,” said the head of Ukrzaliznytsia.
Recall that Ukrzaliznytsia is the largest consumer of diesel fuel in Ukraine. As reported earlier, despite the crisis situation on the market, the company was able to reach an agreement with suppliers and promptly resolve the issue of providing them with the industry for the next period.
