The Minister of Industry of the Republic of Belarus Pavel Utyupin introduced the new General Director Dmitry Korchik to the staff of OJSC “BMZ - the managing company of the holding“ BMK ”. His appointment to this position on July 29 was agreed by the Head of State.
Addressing metallurgists, Pavel Utyupin emphasized that the effectiveness of BMZ directly depends on the effectiveness of foreign economic activity: how correctly the priorities are set in defining the product line and its markets sales.
- The Belarusian Metallurgical Plant has carried out a large-scale modernization, which allowed the enterprise to increase the production of products with high added value. It was the right decision, now it is necessary to focus on it, correctly forming export directions. It is necessary to competently develop the foreign economic vector. Dmitry Korchik has extensive experience in this particular area, which became one of the determining factors in his appointment.
Pavel Vladimirovich noted that the new director of BMZ has extensive experience in the structure of the Ministry of Industry. He began his career as an apprentice turner at the Integral plant, worked in various positions at the Semiconductor Device Plant named after F.E. Dzerzhinsky NPO "Integral". From 2002 to 2012 he worked in the central office of the Ministry of Industry, where at various times he had to deal with issues of energy resources, foreign economic activity, investments. Since 2012, Dmitry Aleksandrovich has been the Director for Industrial and Technical Policy and Development of OJSC Borisov Plant of Automotive and Tractor Electrical Equipment - UKH Autocomponents in Borisov. Since March 2015, he held the post of Deputy Minister of Industry of the Republic of Belarus.
