Metalloinvest took part in the XIV Eurasian Economic Forum in Verona. During the session “Technological innovation and digital transition as engines of inclusive and sustainable socio-economic development”, the Company spoke about the role of digitalization in overcoming modern challenges.

In the field of digital transformation, this year alone, Metalloinvest plans to implement more than 300 initiatives and 70 projects. One of the main directions is to preserve the health of employees and provide them with the latest digital tools to ensure industrial safety.
Digital technologies are becoming an indispensable assistant in solving another global problem - decarbonization. Metalloinvest develops systems for automatic emission accounting for all production facilities and for the entire range of the Company's products. It is impossible to overestimate the importance of such a decision in view of the forthcoming introduction of cross-border carbon regulation in the EU.
Metalloinvest is in the active stage of development in the field of low-carbon hydrogen with leading research institutes and companies, and is developing methods for capturing and safely storing carbon. These are substantive, but ambitious and complex tasks, the solution of which is impossible without digital technologies.

In many aspects, we are all just at the beginning of this journey, and there are many unexpected obstacles and discoveries ahead of us. But if earlier it took tens of years for global changes, today it is happening much faster. The annual XIV Eurasian Economic Forum in Verona is organized by the Roscongress Foundation in cooperation with the Discover Eurasia Association.
The Forum participants discussed a wide range of practical issues and topical issues in the field of economics and finance, health care, ecology, energy and technological innovation in the Greater Eurasia from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean, united this year by the global theme: “Eurasia Towards a New Geopolitical and Socio-Economic Order: Transition to a New People-Centered Economy ”.
