Severstal's Road Home Charitable Foundation has summed up the preliminary results of an open competition for social projects for 2022.
A total of 65 applications were received for the competition from budget non-profit organizations from the regions where the company operates. 14 projects were selected and recommended by external experts for implementation next year.
During August 2021, the Road Home Charity Foundation collected project applications applying for funding in 2022. The competition was attended by projects from teams of specialists from Cherepovets and Cherepovets district, Veliky Ustyug and Veliky Ustyug district, Vologda, Volgograd, Kostomuksha, Orel, Petrozavodsk and Yaroslavl. The design documentation was assessed by the Competition Commission, which included 25 independent external experts.
As a result of a comprehensive assessment, the experts selected 14 projects. Some of them are aimed at children with disabilities and families raising such children. So, the project "I know - EVERYTHING is possible!" will develop adaptive sports in the Vologda region. As part of the project "Under the wing" in Orel, comprehensive targeted assistance will be provided to families raising children with disabilities and /or disabilities. The formation of an active community of such families became the goal of the Territory of Kindness project in the Veliky Ustyug District of the Vologda Oblast.
The Digital Socialization project will also continue in the Vologda Oblast, aimed at teaching children and adolescents from rural areas the skills of safe and useful use of computers and the Internet. The project from Yaroslavl “Safe Childhood. Best practics". The "Dialogue" project is aimed at training specialists in the field of childhood in special techniques and techniques to reduce the level of destructive risky behavior in adolescents.
Three projects will begin to be implemented within the framework of one of the key programs of the Foundation "The Way Home" - "Children of Cherepovets. Way to success". Thus, a comprehensive study will be carried out on the social attitudes and values of gifted children, their ideas about Cherepovets as a place for realizing their talents. Within the framework of the “Corporation of Success” project, it is planned to develop and implement a model of work of an educational organization with gifted children and their parents.
The final decision on financing the projects of the “Road to Home” CF for 2022 will be made at the end of December at a meeting of the Expert Council, headed by AA Chairman of the Board of Directors of Severstal. Mordashov, and published on the Foundation's website no later than December 31, 2021.
