Small but smart: the LF-3 loader from the GHH Group company enters the Russian market

The GHH Group, one of the leading suppliers of integrated solutions in the mining and tunneling industry, presents the 3-ton LF-3 loader to the Russian market. This model is included in the line of loading and hauling machines (LHD) used in the development of steeply dipping low-power ore bodies.
Initially, the technical characteristics and capabilities of this small machine, designed at the GHH Group plant in South Africa, did not fully meet the needs of Russian mining companies. However, the harsh operating conditions in the mines of Peru allowed us to “see bottlenecks” and upgrade the model.
As a result, the LF-3 is equipped with a Z-boom with higher lift and lower bucket pivot points for fast and smooth loading of mine trucks. This significantly improves mining productivity and shortens the loading time of the 15 tonne dump truck. The 67 kW Cummins Tier 3 water cooled diesel engine minimizes harmful emissions, making the job of mine personnel and operator easier.
Rugged frame and machine design reduce operating costs. Despite its compact size, the LF-3 cab offers excellent visibility and ergonomic requirements for the operator's workplace. In addition, the LF-3 is equipped with an interface on which the data of optional systems can be displayed - collision avoidance, positioning of personnel and equipment, monitoring of blind spots, as well as weighing the transported cargo and monitoring the air pressure in tires.
The machine is equipped with the GHH InSITE system, which makes it easy and efficient to collect, record and digitally analyze data on the operation of the loader.
Taken together, all this allows the LF-3 to demonstrate increased reliability and productivity in operation.
“The LF-3 is the predecessor of the LF-7 loader and has a number of advantages among the machines of its class. It is faster, more maneuverable, has a solid and reliable design. At the same time, there will be no difficulties for clients in its repair and maintenance. Refinement of the model in the "field conditions" of Peru allowed to take into account the requests of the most demanding clients of the Russian market, who value time and money. It is this modernized version that will now be presented in our country", commented Dmitry Zhukov, executive director of the GHH Group in Russia.
