March 4, Moscow. ESAB supported the contest "The Best student welder", which was held at Bauman Moscow State Technical University. For the competition, the company provided welding equipment, consumables and personal protective equipment.
The competition was attended by 6 best students of the Department of Welding Technology and Diagnostics, who passed the discipline "Welding Workshop". Each contestant was given a drawing and instructions for welding the product. The project took 3 hours to complete. The guys assembled and welded butt and corner joints of long products in the lower and vertical positions studied during the welding workshop.
Nikita Egorov took 1st place, Roman Gundarov took 2nd place, and Alina Afsatarova took bronze. At the end of the competition, the winners and participants received Savage A40 masks and a professional welding source Rogue ES 200i.
