ESAB awarded the winners of the "Handmade" welders' competition in Yekaterinburg

March 24, Yekaterinburg. ESAB company supported the regional "Handmade" professional skill contest for the profession of a welder of manual and partially mechanized welding and surfacing, which was held at the Yekaterinburg Technical School of Chemical Engineering. For the competition, the company provided welding equipment and consumables for welding and cutting.
 
13 students from professional colleges took part in the competition. The event was held in several stages. After the first practical and theoretical qualifying tests, only 5 participants continued the competition.
 
The competition is aimed at demonstrating professional competencies by types of work: welding various steels and structural elements in various spatial positions according to the technological process in accordance with the requirements of occupational health and safety, knowledge of various grades of steel and electrodes, types and types of welded joints, the ability to configure welding equipment and welding modes.
 
Bogdan Bushin took 1st place, Ivan Vaganov took 2nd place, and Leonid Vatrushkin took bronze. At the end of the competition, the winners and participants received certificates and prizes ESAB – professional equipment.

Earlier, with the support of ESAB, a competition "The Best student welder" was held at Bauman Moscow State Technical University.
