Krasnouralsk (Sverdlovsk Region)
On Thursday, September 12, Svyatogor OJSC (an enterprise of the UMMC metallurgical complex) released 10,000 juvenile carp at the third dam of the Krasnouralsk reservoir (Krasnouralsk GO territory) on the Salda River. The head of administration of Krasnouralsk city Dmitry Kuzminykh, heads and specialists of divisions of Svyatogor JSC, as well as city residents of all ages took part in the stocking.
- This ecological action has been taking place with us for many years, - said Dmitry Tropnikov, director of Svyatogor. “By investing, we take care of the environment and restore the biological resources of rivers. We will continue this work in the future, moreover, it will expand. Next year, for example, we plan to carry out stocking not only in Krasnouralsk, but also on Lake Svetloye in Severouralsk.
The carp population in Krasnouralsk water bodies is growing steadily. It is he who is recommended by environmental specialists for stocking such small reservoirs.
- For our part, we have prepared the characteristics of the reservoir, its food base, volume and maximum depth, and we have already been recommended which type of fish will take root in the most optimal way. our Ural conditions, - said Irina Bichukina, head of the environmental department, head of the ecology department of Svyatogor.
The carp was raised at Aquakultura LLC (Chelyabinsk region), whose specialists delivered the fry to the stocking site in a special container, providing a certain temperature regime of water and oxygen supply during transportation. The total mass of the fish landing is about half a ton.
- The carp is a wild species of fish, - said Danil Popov, fish breeder of Aquaculture LLC. - They fill reservoirs suitable for amateur fishing. First of all, it is valuable for its meat, which is very tasty and healthy. In addition, adults cleanse the reservoir of thickets.
