The development of rolled products with a diameter of 200 mm is another step towards expanding the technical capabilities of the 450 mill. Previously, the maximum size of rolled products for it, according to the passport data, was 120 mm. In 2017, the plant's specialists modernized the mill and mastered the production technology of size groups 130-150 mm and 170-180 mm. For additional processing of rolled products of large diameters, a straightening machine and a finishing line were installed. The equipment provides the required surface quality and metal curvature in accordance with the requirements of customers.
Round bars of large diameters, including 200 mm, are in demand in the aircraft and automotive industry, the defense industry, and heavy engineering. Izhstal supplies them to such enterprises as Irkut Corporation, Tupolev, GAZ, MAZ, Transmashholding, Uralvagonzavod.
Stan 450 produces metal products from the entire spectrum of products smelted at Izhstal steel grades: from structural to stainless, high-speed and heat-resistant.
