Lebedinsky GOK (part of Metalloinvest) passed a recertification audit of the industrial safety and labor protection management system for compliance with the new international standard ISO 45001: 2018.
the standard regulates the procedure for the development and implementation of management systems that are directly related to personnel health protection and ensuring safe working conditions. He considers labor protection as an integral part of the successful development of a business structure.
The audit at Lebedinsky GOK was conducted from September 9 to 13 by specialists from the British Standards Institution (BSI), a recognized world leader in international certification.
Experts highly appreciated the organization of workplaces, the provision of overalls and other personal protective equipment to the employees of the plant, the level of measures to prevent injuries, the quality of workflow and compliance with legal requirements. The auditors also noted the high level of competence of employees responsible for labor protection and industrial safety.
“The main areas of our audit were the organization of work in the field of labor protection and industrial safety, health of employees, - said Anatoly Putyrsky, a leading auditor of the British Standards Institute. - The dynamics of development in the direction of health and safety is positive, and even slightly ahead of the new requirements of international standards.
According to the results of the audit, no inconsistencies with the established requirements were identified, the industrial safety and labor protection management system of Lebedinsky GOK was recommended for certification according to ISO 45001: 2018.
