Foundation or non-foundation truck scales?

The basis of truck scales is a monolithic foundation on which they will be installed. It is the quality of its manufacture that determines the accuracy and durability of the work of automobile scales. Many manufacturers are trying to significantly reduce the cost of building foundations, as modern electronic scales are equipped with strain gauges and do not require complex installation, unlike old mechanical ones. With significant deviations in the construction of the foundation, there is a very big danger, over time, all deviations in the weighing process will accumulate and there will be a large discrepancy when accounting for products, which will entail additional financial losses. Proceedings will begin aimed at identifying dishonesty of employees, including independent specialists with a reference load who will be able to fully clarify the situation.

Many unscrupulous sellers of weighing equipment, unfortunately, convey false information to the buyer, promising accurate and reliable operation of scales without a foundation, on concrete slabs, and possibly simply on compacted soil. The buyer, of course, is captivated by the manufacturer's beliefs about the guarantee for the scales, but no one will give guarantees that you will incur losses comparable to the purchase of full-fledged automobile scales.Based on numerous tests and production experience, the standard error in scales is +/- 20 kg, and the real error of scales on a poor-quality foundation exceeds such indicators by five or even ten times more. And such losses will occur with each weighing, and not in a single case.

“Installation in one day”, “Possibility of transfer and installation in a new place”, “Installation on any surface”, “Inexpensive truck scales”, all these advertising slogans refer to non-foundation scales. But if you look at it from the side of building your home, if the contractor suggested you don't build a foundation or put on anything. You would plunge into studying all the pros and cons of such an option, assessing the possible prospects for further life in such a house. And now back to the scales, the load on them at full load is comparable to a country cottage, and also dynamic loads in the process of weighing, with a cycle of 10 to 200 times a day.
