PJSC Severstal held the second stage of the annual competition of creative projects for children and youth of Cherepovets "Style of Steel".
The competition is held with the participation of the mayor's office of the city of Cherepovets, TUI Russia (part of Severgroup), Media Center ", the Cherepovets Museum Association, the Culture and Children Foundation and is dedicated to the 190th anniversary of the birth of Ivan Andreevich Milyutin - an industrialist, educator, benefactor, ship owner, economist, merchant, public figure and mayor of the city of Cherepovets from 1861 to 1907.
Applications for the first stage of the competition "The Steel Way of Ivan Milyutin" were submitted by 114 schoolchildren of the 5-11th grades of secondary schools in Cherepovets, 46 of them were invited to the second stage - master classes held on October 12-13 at the museum “Dom I.A.Milyutin.”
As part of the master classes, children visited the museum's exposition and learned about the multifaceted activities of a large industrialist and his family. The organizers IN Frolova and MV Matskevich in the workshop "Interview with a Hero" provided the opportunity for the children to reveal the personality, worldview, outlook and life principles of IA Milyutin. Also, the schoolchildren learned about the brilliant journalistic activities of I.A. Milyutin, read excerpts from his articles and letters. In addition, the guys got acquainted with the rules for creating a layout design for the title page of the printed edition and tried to develop their own version of the cover of the museum guide dedicated to the hero's activities.
At the third stage of the competition, the participants will have a new creative work - to make a collage for the cover of the museum guide, dedicated to the 190th anniversary of the birth of I.A. Milyutin.
The final results will be announced in December 2019. The winners will have the opportunity to visit one of the cities of Russia. The prizes will be provided by the travel company TUI Russia.
