Ufa University of Science and Technology (UUNiT) and ESAB, one of the world leaders in the production of equipment and consumables for welding and cutting metals, have started cooperation.
The delegation of ESAB visited UUNiT and got acquainted with the unified innovation complex, areas of development and scientific schools of the University. Ufa University is developing rapidly and annually surprises partners and industry leaders with student discoveries. ESAB representatives paid special attention to the laboratories of the student design bureau Formula Student, where young engineers work on their projects.
The UGATU Racing Team from Ufa University creates racing cars, electric motorcycles, and super-economical cars for participation in international competitions. The engineering technical team of students presents their developments in many countries of the world, and also implements various projects such as Formula Student (Formula SAE), Smartmoto Challenge, Shell Eco marathon.
The team's laboratories are perhaps the main space for young inventors. After all, it is here that new projects are born and further developed that help students to express themselves and reach the international level. The sites are equipped with modern equipment that students need to work on their projects. Acquaintance with the inventions of young engineers marked the beginning of cooperation between ESAB and Ufa University of Science and Technology. Representatives of the company saw the great potential of student projects, appreciated the level of development and advanced solutions of the SKB Formula Student team.
As part of the cooperation, ESAB provided UNIT with innovative developments and personal protective equipment (PPE) in the field of welding and cutting: compact semi-automatic Rebel 320ic, Origo Tig 3000i AC/DC TA24 source, SAVAGE A40 9-13 welder mask, CoolMidi1800i cooling unit, welding materials, accessories and welder's personal protective equipment. The company's solutions will help students in the assembly and operation of their technical developments within the framework of the Formula Student project.
