Seversky Pipe Plant (STZ), a branch of the Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK), hosted the first high-tech professions championship "TMK Digital Production System". The event was organized by TMK2U Corporate University with the support of Rosatom State Corporation.
The Severskaya Domna Museum complex became the venue for the championship. The competition was attended by cross-functional teams from TMK branches, the TMK++ IT cluster, and representatives of the TMK Corporate Center's production system development area.
For two days, the teams completed a competitive task that combined knowledge of TMK's production system methods and tools with Rosatom's digital expertise. The work of the participants was supervised by experts from the state corporation, as well as representatives of the TMK CC production system development area. On the final day of the competition, the teams presented their projects to the commission — "roadmaps" for digital transformation.
The team of Cyber-SINARA Sinara Pipe Plant (SinTZ) was recognized as the winner of the championship, which presented a comprehensive solution for digital automation of key production stages aimed at reducing downtime and improving product quality. The second place was taken by the team of CC TMK "StartUp" — the contestants offered an innovative platform for monitoring and analyzing production data in real time, necessary for making operational management decisions. The third was the Volga Pipe Plant (VTZ) Volga team, whose members developed a project to implement predictive equipment maintenance systems using artificial intelligence technologies.
"In a rapidly changing external environment, a well-developed production system and the ability to make operational management decisions using modern digital tools are particularly valuable. During the first high-tech Professions Championship, our teams demonstrated high competencies and willingness to implement new solutions to improve efficiency. The participants of the championship can use the experience gained to improve the processes of TMK's branches," said Elena Avdeeva, Head of TMK's production system development department.
"Holding such championships allows the company's employees to prove themselves and strengthen their own professional competencies. In addition, it is an excellent tool for establishing collaboration and strengthening cross-functional interaction, because for teamwork these are no less important factors than the presence of professionals in their field," said the Executive Director of the Corporate University.
