BMZ received the EcoVadis gold medal for achievements in corporate social responsibility

OJSC “BMZ”, the management company of the “BMK” holding, is included in the list of the world's best performers on the EcoVadis CSR monitoring platform. According to the data of this world famous organization, the Belarusian Metallurgical Plant is included in the top 5% of performers based on the results of the expert assessment of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and it has been assigned the Golden Recognition rating.

for the second time: in 2017 EcoVadis also included the company in the top 5% of performers. Re-recognition clearly demonstrates that the plant builds its work taking into account the key CSR principles. By the way, in 2008 BMZ became the first industrial enterprise in the country to enter into a direct agreement with the UN on joining the Global Compact. In 2009, in accordance with the requirements of the GRI standard, the first BMZ report on social management was developed. Since then, it has been prepared annually and posted on the UN and the plant's websites.

At the request of key consumers of products for the tire industry, BMZ regularly undergoes expert evaluation of CSR achievements on the EcoVadis monitoring platform. It should be noted that currently more than 45 thousand companies use this rating to reduce risks, introduce innovations, increase transparency and the level of trust between business partners. EcoVadis' assessment, covering 180 procurement categories and 150 countries, is carried out according to 21 criteria, which are divided into 4 thematic blocks (environment, labor protection and human rights protection, ethics, sustainable procurement) and developed on the basis of international CSR standards, including the principles of the Global Compact etc.
