INTERPIPE's portfolio of railway projects includes supplies for passenger trains, in particular for high-speed urban and suburban services.
Rapid transit in North America is a prime example - for over 7 years, the company has been a regular supplier of wheels for PATH trains in the United States.
The PATH is a high-speed railroad that connects downtown New York City with four surrounding cities, and is one of the most convenient ways to cross the Hudson River. The total length of the lines of this service is only 22 km, which is three times less than the routes of the Kiev metro. However, the service is very popular: PATH trains carry more than 220,000 locals and tourists every day.
INTERPIPE regularly supplies 711 mm diameter railway wheels according to the American AAR M107/M108 standard for this service. The products are equipped with noise-absorbing rings so that trains do not exceed the permitted noise level in an urban environment.
