Shipments of ferrosilicon in 2018 amounted to 76 thousand tons against 69 thousand tons in 2017 year. Of these, ferrosilicon grade FS 65 was shipped 54 thousand tons, and FS 75 - 22 thousand tons. The main buyers of BZF products are metallurgical plants of the Mechel Group and Japanese enterprises.
“The positive dynamics of sales is due to an increase in product quality. During the year, we carried out a number of experiments to test raw materials that were new for our technological process: quartzite, reducing agents, electrode paste and steel for electrode casings. The samples that have passed the approbation are now being successfully used in production, ”commented Sergey Sokolov, Managing Director of BZF LLC.
