The strongest skiers were awarded at BMK

Alpine skiing competitions have ended at the Beloretsk Metallurgical Plant (BMK JSC, part of the Mechel Group). About 100 alpine skiing enthusiasts from 20 workshops and divisions of the plant took part in them.

Alpine skiing completed the winter stage of the BMK complex sports festival. The competitions were held at the Mratkino ski complex in the giant slalom discipline. They were attended by amateurs of alpine skiing in five age groups from 18 to 60 and older.

Many teams were led by heads of shops and departments. By tradition, the first to open the track was the General Director of JSC “BMK” Viktor Kamelin.

The best results in the individual competition in the senior age group were shown by the veteran of the alloy wire shop Evgeny Glazychev. Among athletes aged 50-59, the winners were Andrey Shelepov, senior shift of the BMK-M private security company, and Natalya Astakhova, head of the technical department bureau. In the group of 40-49 years old, the rolling shop operator Oleg Borisov and the leading software engineer of the IT department Elena Semavina were recognized as permanent leaders. Among the skiers 30-39 years old, the most impetuous were the mechanic-repairman of the power shop Vyacheslav Titov and the foreman of the section of the first steel wire-rope shop Yekaterina Migranova. In the younger age group, gold was won by Dmitry Kolushev, a loader of the steel wire shop No. 6, and Naina Podolskaya, legal adviser of the legal department.

The winners of the competition were awarded with diplomas and gift certificates.
