PJSC Severstal supported the Russian premiere of The Winter's Tale ballet on the historical stage of the Bolshoi Theater. The play was first shown in 2014 in London, at the Theater Royal Covent Garden, and received a deafening worldwide success.
On the stage of the Bolshoi Theater, the ballet based on the play of the same name by William Shakespeare was staged to music by Joby Talbot, libretto and choreography by Christopher Wheeldon , scenography and costumes - Bob Crowley, stage director - Anton Grishanin. The performance involves new foreign names in an ensemble with Russian ballet stars.
"Winter's Tale" is a synthesis performance. In it classical ballet meets modern choreography, a symphonic score with avant-garde music, and the self-original Shakespeare play - which at first glance takes place in medieval Europe, is actually full of magic and magic.
