PJSC Severstal supported the Russian premiere of The Winter's Tale ballet on the historical stage of the Bolshoi Theater. The play was first shown in 2014 in London, at the Theater Royal Covent Garden, and received a deafening worldwide success.

On the stage of the Bolshoi Theater, the ballet based on the play of the same name by William Shakespeare was staged to music by Joby Talbot, libretto and choreography by Christopher Wheeldon , scenography and costumes - Bob Crowley, stage director - Anton Grishanin. The performance involves new foreign names in an ensemble with Russian ballet stars.

"Winter's Tale" is a synthesis performance. In it classical ballet meets modern choreography, a symphonic score with avant-garde music, and the self-original Shakespeare play - which at first glance takes place in medieval Europe, is actually full of magic and magic.

“We consider it an honor to be permanent partner of the Bolshoi Theater and are very pleased that this year the cooperation was continued by staging such a bright and colorful ballet as Winter's Tale, ”said Natalya Poppel, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility and the Severstal Brand.

Cooperation with the Bolshoi theater is one of the longest-running federal charitable projects of Severstal: for over 17 years, the company has supported one premiere performance each season. With the assistance of Severstal, the Bolshoi Theater hosted performances that have become significant events for the cultural life of both our country and world theatrical art: the operas The Fiery Angel and Lady Macbeth of the Mtsensk District, the ballets The Golden Age, The Bolt, The Corsair "," The Flame of Paris "," Esmeralda "," The Nutcracker "," The Taming of the Shrew "," Hamlet "," Anna Karenina ". In 2017, with the support of the company, the theater held the Festival dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Yuri Grigorovich.
