MMK again increased the volume of social investment

The share of the plant in the total amount of social and charitable expenses amounted to about 70%, reaching nearly 1.8 billion roubles, which is 11.6% higher than in 2018.
In 2019, the Group of PJSC "MMK" has allocated funds for the protection of the health of employees, implementation of treatment programs and disease prevention (520 million rubles, of which 255 million – funds of the plant), to compensate the cost of vouchers to employees on sanitary-resort treatment (400 million, of which more than half of the resources of the plant) and the organization of children's leisure (53 million), the formation of a healthy lifestyle and popularization of sport and physical education (130 million) and social support to seniors, people with disabilities and other needy citizens (419 million, of these, 314 – means plant), stimulation of birth rate, support of motherhood and families with many children (100 million rubles), organization of cultural and mass work and the maintenance of houses of culture (113 million), providing the workers with hot meals (68,5 million), housing, youth, education programs and other voluntary social obligations (172.5 million). In total, MMK Group's investment in charity and social programs in 2019 amounted to 2581,7 million.
Magnitogorsk iron and steel works have long and rightly has the status of a socially oriented company. Financing social programs, JSC "MMK" provided a good basis for further development of Magnitogorsk and the entire Ural region. At the end of last year MMK investments in human capital development, social partnership and sustainable development of the city and region received well-deserved high recognition of several expert communities. So, in December of 2019 MMK took the 4th place in the rating of the largest Russian employers for investment in human capital (composed of RAEX Rating Review in 2018). Also at the end of last year, the Russian Union of Industrialists and entrepreneurs, released its annual index, which reflects the achievements of major Russian companies in the fields of corporate responsibility, sustainable development and social entrepreneurship, and CMI has entered the group of leaders in the indexes of "Responsibility and transparency" and "Vector for sustainable development".
MMK managed to create a unique system of social partnership effectively functioning as market relations. Combine and organizations included in the Group of PJSC "MMK" voluntarily assume the obligations of a socially responsible behavior against the inhabitants of Magnitogorsk and Chelyabinsk region, are actively involved in the development of the infrastructure of the city and surrounding areas, objects of culture and sports, support of public associations is carried out in the city's large-scale cultural events and sports orientation.
