Specialists of the analytical laboratory of JSC "uralmekhanobr" (scientific-research and design Institute of UMMC) has developed a method of concentration of gold grains in the ore. It is used in a detailed study of the material composition and structure of gold-bearing ores with the purpose of determination of the particle size of the precious metala.
– Low concentration of gold in the analyzed materials complicates the study of its modes of occurrence and size of particles, – said head of the analytical laboratory of JSC "uralmekhanobr" Alla Verhorubova. – You must remove the rock-forming components, to study the geometry, structure and shape of the gold particles. The information obtained is used to develop technological schemes of processing of the studied material.
the Method, developed by "Uralmekhanobr", allows to increase the concentration of grains of gold, excluding the mechanical damage to them. It is based on the selection of reagents for selective dissolution of minerals and different in their rate of dissolution. The desired result is achieved through the selective dissolution of mineral phases analyzed material.
Selective dissolution allows the Mineralogy to detect and reliably diagnose more than 100 grains of gold in the sample mass 25 g., what cannot be achieved without the use of the developed methodology.
