Now a French car from the collection of the Museum of Automotive Technology (Verkhnyaya Pyshma) will be exhibited in the city center for a month.
- The car was produced in 1929 by the French company "Delage". She specialized in the production of exclusive and sports cars that took part and won in various races, including Le Mans and Indianapolis, - said Andrey Zimin, a museum specialist. “Delage cars were especially recognized among the connoisseurs of elegant cars. Their swiftness is harmoniously combined with grace and beauty.
A total of 897 copies were made car Delage DMN. It was equipped with a 6-cylinder 80 hp engine. and was capable of speeds up to 115 km /h. The body of the car, exhibited in Yekaterinburg, was produced in the Figoi atelier by an individual order of the Belgian diplomat Vetter and delivered in December 1929 to its first owner in London.
Delage DMN is a permanent participant in the exhibition of the early 20th century at the equipment price Verkhnyaya Pyshma. Among the thirty cars of this period are the first models of BMW, Ford, Rolls-Royce, Cadillac and Buick.
The work of the visiting exhibition area "Time Machine" in the city center is one of the stages of the automobile festival "On the Move", preceding the retro rally "Ural Cup" (stage of the RAF Cup in retro rally). A large-scale race in cars over 30 starts for the first time in Yekaterinburg on July 13. During the festival, demonstration races of retro cars, intellectual games and presentations have already taken place in the Ural capital.
