Festival of Living Exhibition Gardens SECOND EURASIAN FESTIVAL OF LANDSCAPE ART "ATMOSPHERE-2020" will be held from 14 to 20 August in the center of Yekaterinburg at the site provided by the company "UMMC Zastroyshchik" (near the old mansion on February Revolution, 27, opposite the old mansion on February Revolution, 27). Over the course of seven days, guests of the event will be able to stroll through 10 gardens, five of which have become winners of the preliminary design competition.
Each competition garden is open daily from 10 am to 9 pm. This year, the organizers and authors of the projects set themselves the challenge of creating beautiful gardens and showing visitors how to transform the environment with creativity and plants.
“We are now in the very center of the city. But it feels like in a beautiful blooming garden. On our site, we have placed gazebos, swings, sun loungers made of natural wood and a sandbox with colored sand. From the plants we have chosen flowering hydrangeas. All these elements are presented in each of the courtyards of the residential projects of "UMMC Developer". We plan to leave some of the buildings of the competitive gardens so that the townspeople can walk comfortably in the very center of the city. We are “for” a green city and set a goal for ourselves - to achieve 65% of the greening of the territory of the plots for our buildings. In just three years, we have planted over 100 trees and about 5,000 shrubs. We invite everyone to the festival. Moreover, for the first time we will provide guests with a discount on the purchase of an apartment in any of our projects, "said Evgeny Mordovin, head of development projects at UGMK Zastroyshchik.
The event promises to be interesting for the whole family. The organizers prepared pleasant surprises: a hot air balloon trip, morning yoga classes, a street performance and a film about the imperial gardens of Russia. Every day, the site will host excursions to the exhibition gardens, master classes and lectures for adults and children, expert consultations (including from the gardeners' union), evening concerts. For convenience, a food court area and a souvenir market will operate on the territory of the festival, with the ability to send the purchased gift anywhere in the world for free. And three evenings on August 15, 16 and 20, the gardens will be illuminated with magic lights in partnership with the organizers of the "Not Dark" festival! The music program these days will last until 1 am.
All gardens are united by the main the theme of the festival, which sounds like "Place of Power". Each participant has his own idea of this ideal space: for example, the authors of the LABORATORIUM garden were inspired by the “peaceful atom” that united the world of man and nature. And the creators of the space "Breathe Deeper" will create a garden useful for human health with the help of plants and phytoncides secreted by them. Some landscape designers raise issues of ecology and greening of cities in their gardens. The theme of "green roofs " sounds in the "Gardens of Semiramis", an ode to "remize" - the space of wild flora and fauna - in the garden project "Aima. Soul of the Earth.
