The Balakovo SF reached a ladle life time of 100 heats. Series duration: 81 hours 15 minutes.
Factors to contribute to the said series production:
- experiments on testing various brands of refractory materials: shotcretes, hearth of different configurations, and weldblocks;
- daily production rate increase up to 31 heats;
- improved drying of intermediate ladles;
- minimizing the casting speed drop by modifying the secondary refining technique.
The new record will increase the Balakovo SF capacity and the output of metal products.
