Workers of the Kuzbassrazrezugol Management Company (an enterprise of the UMMC raw materials complex) planted almost 400 rowan trees in the village of Starochervovo, Kemerovo Municipal District. The “green” action, in which local residents also took part, was dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and timed to coincide with the All-Russian Day of Forest Planting.
The Garden of Memory in Starochervovo is part of a large-scale municipal project. In 2020, 2,975 coniferous and deciduous trees will be planted in the Kemerovo District, according to the number of fellow countrymen who did not return from the front during the Great Patriotic War.
“We are holding this event together with the Kuzbassrazrezugol company, our long-time partner , - comments the head of the Kemerovo municipal district Marina Kolyadenko. “Coal miners not only take part in green campaigns, but help us in working with veterans, in equipping our social facilities.”
