MMK develops the industrial Internet of Things
Press Releases
Units, assemblies, electrical equipment in the shops and divisions of the enterprise are equipped with wireless sensors that transmit information about the object and the parameters of its operation. Self-powered sensors have small dimensions, they can be placed on moving objects, where wired data transmission technology is impossible. They are easy to install and replace. In one device, several sensors can be concentrated at once, transmitting various parameters. One of the departments where pilot projects related to the category of the industrial Internet of things are being implemented is the water supply workshop (CWS). Thus, at one of the pumping units of pumping station No. 3, a system for wireless monitoring of the parameters of temperature and vibration of bearings, rotation speed, position of valves, pressure in the pipeline and power consumed by the unit was created. The system will allow real-time monitoring and assessment of the technical condition of equipment and prevent emergencies. In addition, a pilot project to assess the technical condition of electrical machines based on the measurement of the physical parameters of the drive electric motor using a smart sensor is being implemented at the CMC. The system will make it possible to analyze the data obtained with the development of diagnostic solutions, assess and plan the necessary repairs and the timing of their implementation. This will allow to get away from scheduled repairs and move on to repairs as they are. The program is capable of self-learning and accumulation of experience (knowledge base), which in the future will make it possible to issue more accurate forecasts, solutions and recommendations for operation. The plans are to expand the arsenal of sensors and transmitted parameters, remote control of objects, exchange of information between sensors, introduction of cameras with programs computer vision, programs for complex data analysis, forecasting and modeling, optimal operating modes. All projects successfully tested in the workshop will be developed and implemented at other pumping stations and in the production workshops of PJSC MMK.
