According to Pavel Shilyaev, General Director of PJSC MMK, the introduction of this innovation in the field of labor protection and industrial safety will reduce the risk of injury and help ensure safe working conditions at workplaces. “Ensuring a safe working environment is one of our top priorities. In 2020, we approved a new version of the Policy in the field of industrial safety and labor protection in accordance with the program for the implementation of the requirements of the international standard ISO 45001: 2018. In this area, we strive to achieve zero injuries, gain leading positions among metallurgical companies in key indicators in the field of industrial safety and labor protection, improve production culture and personal commitment of personnel to comply with industrial safety and labor protection requirements, ”said Pavel Shilyaev.

The Security Navigator mobile application allows you to monitor production structural units using personal data. The head of the structural unit walks around the shop four days a week, recording the identified hazardous conditions in the Safety Navigator mobile application. Upon completion of the tour, all detected violations are displayed in the Security Navigator by the managers of the monitored areas. Those, in turn, promptly eliminate all identified dangerous conditions within the timeframe set by the manager.

In addition, if a dangerous action is detected using the Security Navigator mobile application, you can conduct a behavioral safety audit (PAB) - fix a dangerous employee behavior or violation of labor protection requirements, identify the root causes of hazardous actions, collect proposals from employees to ensure the safe performance of work. The introduction of the new system has already yielded first results. Since the beginning of the year, more than 3,000 hazardous conditions that could lead to injuries have been identified and addressed. 2616 proposals were received from the employees of the departments, 2094 of which were implemented.

To assess the involvement of managers in ensuring industrial safety and labor protection, the Safety Navigator mobile application compiles their rating, which uses a point system.
